Life in sunny South Florida is very
different than anywhere else in the U.S.. Every summer, we dodge hurricanes,
tornadoes, floods, water spouts and dangerous lightning. The local flora
grows out of control. Just when you finish pruning the shrubs and mowing the
lawn, it's time to start all over again.
In the spring,
(there are no falls or winters) we dodge huge weapons of the road. Cadillacs,
Lincolns and various other heavily armored vehicles terrorize and clog up
the streets. These vehicles of slaughter are driven by tourists who know
nothing about Florida traffic laws. It's no wonder why Floridians display
unique bumper stickers on their automobiles.
Many of these
bumper stickers would be out of place if displayed anywhere else.
